Mediation Services for Mediators and Attorneys
Mediation is advantageous to attorneys as well as clients. While it is a timesaving, cost-effective option, it also lessens the hostility between clients as well as the stress created by strong unresolved emotions. In addition, especially when minor children are involved, the renewed communication between the parties, which is fostered in mediation, makes for more successful (and peaceful) co-parenting after a separation and divorce.
It is never too late to mediate a case, including when it is already in litigation. I mediate all types of high conflict cases, including those in which most everyone has lost any hope of settling. Mediation does not eliminate the need for lawyers. It simply changes the role of lawyers from adversarial litigants to legal consultants.
Some of the ways I can be of service to you and your clients include seeing clients at your office and onsite negotiation and dispute resolution training for you and your colleagues.
I am licensed in North Carolina as well as Michigan. I have been practicing law for over 20 years and have a broad range of experience, including trial experience, as a prosecutor, defense counsel, in personal injury law and arbitration. I also have extensive training in listening and communication, which is a tremendous aid in bringing a dispute to an amicable resolution. My objective is to create a win- win situation for all parties to a dispute.
